• Check your surroundings, is it safe to stay in the house?
• Stay out of affected areas
• If it is safe, remove items/contents out of affected areas
• Do not turn on ceiling/wall fixtures if the ceiling or walls are wet
• Call emergency service personnel if the situation is life-threatening
• Treat all water as if it is contaminated
